OPEN POSITIONS 


CNC Maintenance Technician

Position Summary: Maintenance Technician is responsible for facilities and equipment maintenance related duties within AMT’s facility. The duties vary from new construction to basic CNC Machine maintenance.

Responsibilities: 

• Facility maintenance as it relates to carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC

• New construction as it relates to carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC

• New equipment installation including electrical wiring

• Daily, weekly, monthly maintenance of precision CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment

• Basic repairs of CNC machines and other manufacturing equipment

• Participation in AMT’s safety committee, 5S, and process improvements

• Other duties as assigned


Qualifications/Requirements: 

• High School Diploma, GED, or graduate of a certified technical school

• 2-5 years facilities maintenance experience

• Experience with 3 phase electrical equipment and wiring requirements.

• Experience with troubleshooting and repair of industrial electrical machinery

• Experience managing facilities projects and coordinating with subcontractors

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations.

• Physical requirements – ability to stand for 8-12 hours with allocated breaks; lift up to 50lbs on occasion; squat, kneel, reach above shoulder level, and lift from low/high position occasionally. Regular use of hand for simple grasping, twisting, pushing, and pulling, writing, and or typing.

Plant Controller

Position Summary: The Plant Controller will oversee general accounting operations of the AMT Medical plant in Monroe, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing the month-end close and associated financial statements. The position will maintain receipts and disbursement reports with primary focus on cash sources and uses. The individual will combine excellent analytical and communication skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts and ensure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.


Key priorities for this role are:

  • Manage cash: track, project and report cash flow on a  daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Perform billing and collections as well as accounts  payables activities including posting customer receipts, coding invoices  and generating disbursements.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements with supporting  reconciliations/analysis as well as a monthly reporting package trending key metrics.
  • Support internal customers by creating and implementing  analysis on KPI's and financial and operational trends.
  • Analyze cost variances and financial statement  variances.
  • Liaise with external auditors to facilitate audits of financial statements.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in  special projects as assigned.


Candidate Profile:

  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and GAAP –  candidate skill set will include a substantial knowledge base of  manufacturing accounting principles and accounting treatment under GAAP with particular focus on cost of goods sold
  • Organization accuracy and attention to detail – candidate will be able to apply functional computer knowledge utilizing   ERP system, Microsoft suite and other technical tools in  organizing/prioritizing tasks and accurately reporting in a fluent      environment.
  • Strong communication skills –must have excellent      communication skills with the ability to state messaging in a clear and  concise manner while being able to modify communication style to match the  appropriate level of the audience targeted.
  • Implementation skills– candidate will be able to  organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information to  implement the most effective solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • CPA or equivalent advanced certification preferred
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience as a Plant Controller or Assistant Controller in a small to mid-size     manufacturing environment
  • Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year end close process
  • Hands on experience with accounting software  packages/ERP systems
  • Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Prior exposure to/participant in a lean manufacturing  environment a plus


CNC Programmer

Position Summary: CNC Programmer works directly with engineering staff, cell leads, and level 5 machinists to create, develop, and execute effective programs for turning, Swiss turning, and 3 thru 5 axis milling.

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure correct programs are saved and used for  manufacturing
  • Identify issues and improve tool life and machining quality
  • Identify and recommend adjustments to improve production
  • Troubleshoot all issues that arise after tool changes  and offset adjustments
  • Ability to adjust programs for alternate tools
  • Ability to adjust programs to run on alternate machines
  • Ability to write programs at the machine
  • Design new fixtures.
  • Create/implement training procedures.
  • Create/ implement work standards.
  • Create/ implement Manufacturing Processes.

                                                              CNC Swiss Machinist – Level 2/3

                                     SIGN-ON BONUS FOR EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES!


SUMMARY: Level 3 machinist are able to proficiently operate Swiss Lathes, and complete proven set-ups on CNC Swiss Lathes. They can perform troubleshooting and have an understanding of Machining concepts. Level 3 Machinist are typically an expert at the machines and parts within a cell. Lathe Machinist will operate Star Swiss style lathes with Fanuc controls.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs in process inspections
• Make all necessary offset adjustments
• Identify and change worn and broken tools efficiently
• Troubleshoot issues that arise after tool changes and offset adjustments.
• Ability to troubleshoot more advanced problems
• Ability to make minor program edits ex: speeds and feeds
• Provide detailed tie-in notes, address and avert issues within cell
• Ability to provide accurate descriptions of issues to higher level machinist
• Ability to understand programming and prove out new programs within cell
• Operate all machines within their Cell independently.
• Set up all jobs in the Cell independently and swiftly to maintain schedule
• Must stage upcoming jobs and prepare setup box’s including all necessary tooling for the next setup before the current job is completed.
• Interpret blueprints accurately to make necessary adjustments.
• Provide basic training and support to less experienced machinists
• Must be Active in Process Improvement.
• Must return used tooling to the appropriate spot in the tool crib

                                                                      CNC Mill Machinist – Level 2/3

Mill Machinist will operate a variety of CNC Mills including HAAS, Mori Seki, and Fadal.

Position Summary: Level 3 machinist are able to proficiently operate and complete proven set-ups on CNC Mills. They can do some trouble shooting and have an understanding of Machining concepts. Level 3 Machinist are typically an expert at the parts within a cell. Mill Machinist will operate a variety of CNC Mills including HAAS, Mori Seki, and Fadal


Responsibilities:

  • Performs in process inspections
  • Ability to troubleshoot more advanced problems on either Lathes or Mills.
  • Ability to provide accurate descriptions of issues to higher level machinist
  • Ability to understand programming and assist with proving new programs within cell
  • Operate all machines within their Cell
  • Set up most jobs within their cell and do it with  minimum supervision
  • Set up more complex jobs, new jobs, or recently edited  jobs within a cell
  • Interpret blueprints accurately to make necessary  adjustments
  • Full understanding of GD&T
  • Provide basic training and support to level 1 and 2  machinist
  • Other duties as qualified or assigned.

QUALITY ENGINEER

Position Summary: The Quality Engineer installs and implements quality control process sampling systems, procedures, and inspection techniques. Investigates issues to determine root cause and develop appropriate corrective action and preventative actions. Trains others and specifies inspection and testing techniques and equipment. The Quality Engineer also analyzes production limitations and standards, and recommends revision of specifications when indicated. Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:

· Participates in development and management of the transition to operator based in-process inspection using SPC software.

· Lead in activities to identify non-value added processes and inspections

· Applies sound systematic problem-solving in identifying, prioritizing, communicating and resolving quality issues.

· Provide liaison and work closely with customers, vendors and production departments to resolve quality problems.

· Work with manufacturing on quantifying and documenting process capability

· Monitors in-process jobs to assure conformance.

· Trains inspection personnel on inspection techniques and processes

· Performs validations as needed with guidance from Director of Quality

· Assist in providing support to existing quality systems

· Write QA processes, controls, policies and procedures

· Prepares measurable data for periodic reporting to management and customers

· Provide guidance and training as needed

Quality Inspector – Level 2/3

SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector position is responsible for inspection and process improvement.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform in-process and final inspections as required.

· Provide support for first article inspection.

· Work closely with engineering and quality tech to development and maintenance of inspection plans.

· Train inspectors in measurement techniques, standards, processes and equipment.

· Assist in the tracking of rework and reject trends.

· Identify, follow-up and assist in root cause analysis on non-conformances

· Lead continuous improvement efforts for inspection processes.

· Work with Production Schedulers, Cell Leads, and QA Supervisor to schedule personnel and ship product.

· Participate in Corrective Action investigation/validation as designated.

· Assist in 5S and other lean activities as required.

· Participate in MRB as required.

· Maintain inspection records, procedures work instructions and forms required.

· Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

· Assist in development and implementation of rework procedures as required.

· Ensure Safety procedures are strictly adhered to.

Finisher/Deburr Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Perform deburr operations to within the required tolerances as given on work orders.

· Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and tools to inspect small parts, ensuring proper tolerances are maintained. 

· Use sharp deburring hand tools and different knives, etc. to deburr small parts under a scope.

· Use a Dremel to buff and finish parts to surface spec per print. 

  • Detect      faulty processes and provide input for their resolution.     Works closely with operators and alert appropriate contact with finish      concerns
  • Finishing parts using 6X scope, deburr, buff and sonic clean
  • Ensure parts are free of burrs  and machine lines and defects
  • Bend and tumble parts  appropriately according to tumbling chart and bending procedures
  • Ring parts and put teeth protectors on appropriately 
  • Rinse, dry and sonic clean finished parts

                    · Thread check, tap and record holes needing to be tapped after tumble without cross 

                       threading threads. Thread checks several different types of threads with basic understanding

                      of threads. 

  • Complete all necessary  paperwork thoroughly and accurately
  • Keep work area clean and  organized
  • Be proactive in shop safety
  • Provide accurate tie in notes when  needed


QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

Passivation Technician (Weeknights, M-Th)

SUMMARY:The Passivation Technician is proficient at the passivation process. 


RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Perform Passivation processes

· Perform Anodize processes

· Perform Titration processes for both Anodize and Passivation

· Perform ultrasonic cleaning process

· Maintain logs and documentation where required

· Properly handle and dispose of chemicals

· Train employees in job related responsibilities as business needs require

· Follow Non-conformance processes

· Visually inspect product for defects using scope 

· Comply with all ISO/ QMS and Safety requirements 

· Other duties as qualified and/or assigned
